COAL CREEK BANK STABILIZATION PROJECT

Project No. 3  -- Mildred Curnutt Property

Project No. 3 is adjacent to Lower Briceville Road.  A water line parallels the road, thereby limiting the amount of excavation that can be made.  The erosion is in the form of gullies between areas of established vegetation.  After consultation with TDEC, it was decided to fill in the eroded gullies with rip rap underlain by filter fabric and avoid disturbance to the non-eroded areas.  Also, the limits to be repaired have been reduced.
