Briceville Block Party

Coal Creek!

Saturday, 7 May 2016

We spent a fun afternoon in Coal Creek at the Briceville Block Party at Briceville School. Got to see lots of the great teachers, students - current and former -- and tell them and their parents that they qualify for our Coal Creek Scholarships. Set up a display of pictures from the rich Coal Creek mining history. We passed out red bandanas in honor of the Coal Creek miners. Those who wanted to take American Chestnut trees home to plant were excited to get them from Barry Thacker's crop he grew from nuts. Thanks for having us!! Definitely a crazy, big hair day!! Wind was out of control!
