Barry Thacker, PE, and Carol Moore, on behalf of the Coal Creek Watershed Foundation, received a Preservation Award by the East Tennessee Preservation Alliance at their annual conference.  The conference was held at the Alex Haley Farm in Clinton, TN.  Knox Heritage and the East TN Preservation Alliance hold the conference.  Attendees include preservation professionals, architects, planners, tourism professionals, government and community leaders, economic developers real estate professionals and others who have found that advanced knowledge of historic preservation principles and practices has value.


Senator Ken Yager was also honored for his role as
supporter of the funding for repairs to the Oliver Springs Depot
